FOOT AND LEG PROTECTION

Standards for Safety-Toe Footwear must comply with ANSI  Z41-1999, American National Standard for Personal Protective Footwear. 

The only standards put out by the National Bureau of Standards which OSHA requires, are for safety  toe shoes. These standards are based on being permanently fixed. Therefore, there are no standards for slip-on type toe protection. 

Pro-Tek-To shoe caps have been tested and do comply with the above standards for a Class 30 impact and compression. Osborn Pro-Tek-To shoe caps are equivalent to steel toe shoes in Class 30 only. And are recommended for wear only on flat, dry, uncluttered surfaces. 

Pro-Tek-To shoe caps can be slipped over a workers or guests' regular shoes for temporary lightweight foot protection where hazards would be minimal. Perfect for factory tours. They are not intended to replace a steel-toed safety shoe, however they do give a larger area of foot protection. 

In areas where minimal top of the foot protection is required the OG-3625 offers unparalleled protection if compared to metatarsal guards that attach to safety shoes.
